Buyer's Brief ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through buyers-brief.com, how it's used, and how it's protected.
When you submit a Buyer's Brief intake form, we collect the information you provide, which may include: your name, email address, phone number, city and ZIP code, vehicle preferences (make, model, year range, mileage, budget, must-haves), payment type, estimated credit range, timeline, and, if applicable, trade-in vehicle details and photos (including photos of your VIN and odometer).
We do not use cookies, analytics, or third-party tracking scripts on this site beyond what's required to operate the intake form and deliver your brief.
We use the information you submit to research vehicle options, prepare your brief, communicate with you about your request, and — only once you approve a fee in writing for a specific vehicle — to negotiate with a dealer on your behalf.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with dealers or any third party except as necessary to negotiate on your behalf, and only after you've approved moving forward on a specific vehicle. Submission data passes through our email delivery provider (Resend) and our website hosting provider (Netlify) solely to deliver your brief and store a backup copy — neither uses your information for their own purposes.
We retain submitted briefs, contact details, and trade-in photos for 3 months from submission, after which they're deleted. If you become a client and a purchase closes, records related to that transaction may be kept longer for our own records.
You can ask us to correct or delete the information you've submitted at any time by contacting us using the details on our Contact page.
We may update this policy as the business evolves. The "last drafted" date above reflects the most recent revision.
Questions about this policy can be directed to us via the Contact page.
