Common questions about how Buyer's Brief works. If you don't see yours here, just ask when you submit your brief.
Yes. The intake form lets you specify new, used, or no preference, and I'll research accordingly.
I'm based in Jacksonville, FL — but I'm not limited to local inventory. I can source and negotiate vehicles from out-of-state dealers as part of your brief.
For an out-of-area vehicle, I'll help coordinate the process based on the vehicle and your location. That may include arranging an independent pre-purchase inspection, reviewing available condition reports, coordinating shipping quotes, or helping you plan an in-person test drive. Any third-party inspection, travel, or shipping costs will be disclosed to you and paid directly by you. I'll never recommend purchasing an out-of-area vehicle without giving you a clear picture of the available inspection options and risks.
Yes. The intake form includes a full trade-in section — vehicle details, condition, and photos including your VIN and odometer — so I can factor trade-in value into the negotiation.
I can help you compare financing options and coordinate the closing process, so it moves as smoothly as possible. You still complete and sign all financing paperwork directly with your lender or the dealer.
Yes. You're free to arrange your own financing — I don't sign any financing or purchase paperwork on your behalf. You work directly with your lender or the dealer on that side of the deal.
I'll keep researching at no additional cost. The initial brief is free either way, and there's no charge until you approve a fee for a specific vehicle — so if the first round isn't right, we just go again.
No cost to you. I'll go back and source updated options — that's part of the process, not something you're charged extra for.
No fee is due, even if negotiations are already underway. If you decide not to move forward, that time is on me — you're never charged unless the purchase actually closes.
Research and your initial brief are always free. You pay only after you select a vehicle, approve my quoted fee in writing, and the purchase closes. If a deal doesn't close, no fee is due.
No. My fee comes from you, the client, only. I don't accept payment or compensation from dealers, which is what keeps my research and negotiation honest and on your side.
No. I act as a buyer's agent — I locate and negotiate vehicles on your behalf and never buy, sell, hold, or take title to any vehicle myself.
