Cancellation & Fee Policy

Last drafted: August 2026

This page explains when payment is and isn't due.

Before you approve a fee

Research and your initial brief are free. You're never charged, and there's no obligation, until you approve a specific fee in writing for a specific vehicle.

After you approve a fee, before the deal closes

No fee is owed if you decide not to move forward with a vehicle, even after negotiations have started. This applies whether a vehicle sells before you decide, none of the initial options are right, or you simply change your mind partway through — in all of these cases, there's no cost to you.

After the deal closes

Once a purchase has closed, the fee is not refundable except in extreme circumstances involving major fault on our end. Issues with the vehicle itself, or disputes that arise with the dealer after closing, are typically handled directly between you and the dealer rather than through a refund of our fee.

Multiple rounds of research

If none of the options in your first brief are right, we continue researching at no additional cost.
